A transformational leader with more than 17 years of executive healthcare experience, Gino R. Santorio is president and chief executive officer of Mount Sinai Medical Center

Santorio has repeatedly been acknowledged as an outstanding healthcare leader on both local and national levels. Most recently he was recognized as a 2020 South Florida Business Journal Power Leader and was honored with Sun Sentinel’s 2019 Excalibur Award, as well as the 2018 South Florida Business & Wealth Up & Comer Award in the healthcare category and Becker’s Hospital Review’s Healthcare Leaders Under 40. He is also a public member of the Florida Medical Association’s Board of Governors.

Santorio has a master’s degree in public administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany in New York, a bachelor’s degree in business leadership from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where he graduated magna cum laude, and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a professional certification sponsored by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Santorio also spent a semester abroad at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.
