JIM KELLY is senior vice president and chief financial officer for UF Health Shands. Mr. Kelly is responsible for the coordination of the long range financial planning for the system, capital formation, treasury, finance, receivables, reimbursement, tax, managed care contracting, risk-based products, materials management/purchasing and health information.

Immediately prior to his tenure at UF Health Shands, Mr. Kelly was the corporate controller at Partners HealthCare System, Inc. in Boston. He also served as the director of internal audit services at Partners from 1999-2001. From 1998-1999 he was the Corporate Controller of The Frontier Group in Boston, and from 1984-1998 he progressed from a Staff Accountant to Senior Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Mr. Kelly earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany. He is a member of HFMA, previously serving on the board of the Massachusetts-Rhode Island and Northeastern New York chapters. Additionally, he serves on the Board of LifeSouth Community Blood Center and is a member of the Children’s Miracle Network Leadership Council.
