Advocacy and policy are the foundation for Safety Net Hospital Alliance activities on behalf of its members. Our government relations team works closely with local and national government leaders, business and citizen groups, and other health care organizations to promote high quality health care that is adequately financed and universally accessible.

Our team continuously monitors public policy issues on the state, federal and local levels that affect hospitals and health care providers. The alliance takes action by providing comments and testimony to governing bodies, writing letters, participating in committee meetings, and developing collaborative relationships with organizations interested in the citizens of Florida receive the care that they need — regardless of their ability to pay.
