K. Alicia Schulhof

As president of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Schulhof has oversight of all aspects of the health system including its hospital and affiliate operations, research, academic, and physician enterprises, as well as the foundation. In partnership with her team, Schulhof leads the vision and strategy of the organization, and the expansion of its mission through treatment, education, research and advocacy. Over Schulhof’s tenure at Johns Hopkins All Children’s, the organization has achieved its strongest performance results in the organization’s history including the domains of engagement and financial performance. The organization has been ranked the #1 children’s hospital in Florida by U.S. News and World Report and has achieved its second Magnet Designation.

Prior to Johns Hopkins All Children’s, Schulhof was the president of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital (PMCH), and a statewide pediatric service line leader for Ascension, St. Vincent in Indiana. During her tenure at PMCH, she led the design and implementation of a statewide pediatric dashboard and data analytics hub, and facilitated the development of a five-year, statewide pediatric strategic plan that was adopted by the state-level leadership team.

Before taking the helm at PMCH, Schulhof served in positions of increasing responsibility for nearly a decade at Indiana University Health, culminating as president of the North Suburban Area. As area president, Schulhof had oversight of three hospitals in the region: North, Saxony and Tipton hospitals. Her past roles at Indiana University Health included serving as system senior vice president for continuous process improvement and as the chief operating officer for Riley Hospital for Children.

For the first decade of her career, Schulhof worked for HCA Healthcare. She served as the chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer for Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, Florida; as associate administrator and ethics compliance officer for Northside Hospital and Tampa Bay Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida; and as an associate administrator for Medical City Dallas Children’s Hospital in Texas.

Schulhof is a proud Boilermaker. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University, Schulhof received her master’s degree in health care administration from Indiana University. Schulhof is passionate about service and she is active in many national, statewide and local boards and professional organizations. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a board member of Solutions for Patient Safety, and active with the Children’s Hospital Association.

Schulhof and her husband, Patrick, reside in St. Petersburg with their four children where they love to explore the city and the great outdoors together.
