Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is a leading pediatric referral center for children with some of the most challenging medical problems. With 2,900 employees and more than 250 physicians representing 43 pediatric medical and surgical specialties, Johns Hopkins All Children’s treats infants, children and teens from across the state of Florida. The hospital’s new one million-square-foot facility is designed to combine the latest in technology, patient safety and quality care.
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital’s nationally recognized surgical programs include pediatric cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, pediatric neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, and minimally invasive procedures. The Hospital Emergency Center handles more than 43,000 annual visits and is home to a busy pediatric trauma program.
The hospital’s 259 beds include a 97-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit—one of the largest in the southeastern United States—along with a 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and 22-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. A network of eleven regional outpatient care centers in seven counties enhances the continuum of care through follow-up medical and rehabilitative services. The Orthopedic Surgery Program performs over 1,500 surgical procedures each year and provides evaluation for an additional 35,000 outpatient visits annually. The program is world-renowned for its pediatric spinal surgery offerings.
The Fetal Care Center offers hope and support to families expecting an infant with a congenital anomaly. The special delivery unit, which opened in May 2019, is a 10-bed high-risk infant delivery unit for healthy mothers expecting infants with pre-diagnosed medical needs.
