Shalonda Fagg serves in the role of Legislative Executive Operations Manager with more than 25 years of experience in legislative affairs, government relations, advocacy, and organizational leadership. Her career includes work with respected organizations such as the Florida Association of Counties, People For the American Way, and the American Federation of Teachers, providing her with a broad and informed perspective on Florida’s legislative and governmental landscape.
For the past 21 years, Shalonda has played a central role in the Safety Net Alliance of Florida’s operations, serving as a trusted connector among the Board of Directors, leadership, hospital support staff, lobbyists, finance chiefs, and external stakeholders. She helps ensure priorities are clearly communicated, decisions are implemented, and initiatives move efficiently from discussion to execution.
In may respects, Shalonda serves as the organization’s administrative control center. She maintains a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s activities, key relationships, schedules, priorities, and operational needs. She is often the person who knows what needs to happen, who needs to be involved, when deadlines must be met, and how the organization’s many moving parts come together. Her institutional knowledge, professionalism, discretion, and ability to navigate complex situations have made her a trusted source of information and a steady presence for organizational leadership that keep its operations moving forward.
Throughout her career, Shalonda has planned and executed all membership meetings, supported board and executive leadership, coordinated legislative and advocacy activities, and managed countless organizational initiatives.
